The Canon Pixma TS9550a uses various ink cartridges, including the original Canon PGI-580 and CLI-581 cartridges in the colours black, cyan, magenta and yellow. These cartridges are available in standard and XXL sizes, with the XXL versions offering a higher number of pages. There are also compatible cartridges from other manufacturers such as Prindo Green and deltalabs, which are often cheaper.

In principle, both printers can do the same thing, but the TS9550a is a little faster and can, for example, print photos almost twice as fast.
