Why doesn't the battery charge when the cable is plugged into the controller? I recently bought this battery, I am using the new wireless Xbox controller, but the battery does not charge when the cable is plugged into the controller. I have tried several times to let the battery in the controller charge overnight, but the next day the battery is still not charged and I can only use the controller when the cable is plugged in.

I think I've found the reason:
Connect the other end of the charging cable to a USB port on your Xbox.
If your console is switched off, switch it on. The console must be switched on after connecting the controller, otherwise the battery won't charge. However, you can switch it off again if you wish.
The LED on the charging cable lights up orange to indicate that the battery is charging. When the light turns white, the rechargeable battery is fully charged.
