The black, matte surface of the candlestick contrasts with the transparency of the shimmering crystal glass version by Brancusi and can be combined individually or in a group with the matte brushed candlesticks and the crystal candlesticks. The three imposing candlesticks are cast in sand molds, brushed, and then lacquered. Each step of the process is done by hand. Candle wax should not be removed with sharp objects but should be gently softened and wiped off with warm water. For maintenance, a soft cloth with a bit of dish soap is ideal.
