Product details
These unique and decorative glasses react mysteriously to the weather and have been used on ships since the 1750s. They were even used by Charles Darwin to predict the weather while he was on his way to the Galápagos Islands. The crystals change their shape depending on the current weather. When the crystals are visible, one can expect humid and foggy weather. A cloudy glass with small crystals would indicate to Charles Darwin that a storm is on the way, while clear glass means clear weather. This is how these decorative glasses respond to atmospheric changes.
The storm glasses come in three different shapes: large and small drops, as well as a sphere. Each has its own beautiful, unique packaging that would look great on your shelves. The drops are placed on a lovely wooden plateau and can be displayed anywhere. The storm glasses work best when placed near a window and allowed to rest for two weeks. Keep in mind that this very beautiful ornament is not always a 100% accurate barometer, but neither is the weather frog!
