The barrier grille can be used with or without the extension. The usable width can also be varied using the adjusting screws. This results in usable widths according to the packaging information of
- without extension: 75-80 cm
- with extension: 84-89 cm
The adjusting screws also allow a slightly larger usable width. However, this affects the stability.
This can be extended as follows:
75 - 80 cm = child's gate (without extension)
84 - 89 cm = child's gate + including 9 cm extension
93 - 98 cm = child safety gate + including 9 cm extension + 9 cm extension (optional)
105 - 110 cm = child safety gate + including 9 cm extension + 21 cm extension (optional)
Width min - max: 75 - 80 cm
Height: 77 cm
Open N Stop stair gate: 75 x 4.0 x 77 cm
Possible protection area: 94 - 89 cm (barrier + extension)
I don't know if the door closes by itself or not, but I believe that if you want to leave it open, you have to block it with something, an object.
9 cm extension is included. I don't know the max length exactly, but it fits perfectly in our 88 cm wide door frame.
