EPS beads (100% polystyrene) Made in Germany by MAGMA Heimtex. EPS stands for "expandable polystyrene": Through the combination of styrene with the blowing agent pentane, foamable beads are formed in a precisely controlled process. They are 1-2 mm in size and consist of polystyrene, a pure hydrocarbon. They form the EPS granulate, the basis for our EPS beads.
EPS beads are freshly produced in a complex process on the day of filling. For the production of our EPS beads, we use a carefully selected EPS granulate. Our supplier operates according to the Responsible Care Standard, which is recognized worldwide as the most demanding commitment in the chemical industry. We consciously use an EPS granulate that does not contain health-hazardous flame retardants, as is common in many places.
