I'm sorry, I only planted once and my plants all got aphids, I couldn't harvest anything.

Basil grows well, takes about 6 weeks until you can harvest leaves, then the plant lasts about 2 months. If you pot it up and fertilise it, e.g. in summer, it will last until autumn. Other herbs did less well (coriander) or not at all (sorrel). I wouldn't use chilli, tomatoes and pepperoni either. What bothers me about the appliance is that it is so ultra-bright for 16 hours a day. I put it in the reduit at some point, it doesn't need daylight.

In my experience, the lifespan of plants varies greatly. Some last longer and have a higher yield, others are short-lived. But it's fun to try out different ones: soon you know what works better and what you like. We have not kept a diary of successes or failures. But this could be worthwhile because then you forget.
