Unlocking takes about 5-10 seconds after the chip has been read. Sealing also takes about 10 seconds. Works perfectly. We also have other cats, they also try to get through. So far without success. :-)

A power cut should not erase the programming of your cat's microchip in the PetSafe microchip cat flap. This microchip cat flap is battery-operated, which ensures that it will work even if there is a power cut. However, I couldn't find any specific information on data backup in the event of a power cut. It is advisable to consult the user manual for more details.

The cat flap can be operated with batteries or a mains cable is not included in the scope of delivery. Unfortunately, the mains cable can only be ordered from the manufacturer. According to my information, the cut-out size (H) x (W): 26.42 x 21.34 cm or with metal door: 32.26 x 24.64 cm.

Try the following: - Make sure that the 4-way manual lock is set to "In & Out". - Check whether your cat's microchip has been programmed with the device. Only stored chips will open the flap. - Make sure that the microchip type is compatible (typically 15-digit FDX-B). - Reprogramming the microchip

We have received feedback in the past reporting the same problem, but not with this model. During tests by the manufacturer's technical department, it was found that cat fur can accumulate on the top of the draught excluder. This can cause the flap to remain permanently in operating mode and the batteries to discharge more quickly as a result. We therefore recommend checking the top of the draught excluder for fur residue and removing it if necessary. Under normal conditions, the battery life is approx. 12 months. If the problem persists, we recommend sending the item in for inspection or contacting the manufacturer's technical support first. We've also had this happen a few times, when our cat goes through like a fury, the latch unhooks. Unscrew the inner flap, then replace the green mechanism. It's a bit fiddly, but it can be done. Don't overlook the spring.

Unfortunately, we have no experience of this ourselves. However, we recommend that you ask such a question as a discussion, as experience has shown that more customers respond there than to a single question. https://www.galaxus.ch/de...

Tunnel extensions are available separately, some of which must be shortened depending on the thickness of the drain hole. To replace, the flap must be loosened with the 4 screws that hold the flap together.

PetSafe's 'Microchip Cat Flap - Brown' works with both a microchip and a manual system. In addition to microchip recognition, this cat door also includes a manual key function that allows the door to be locked or unlocked manually.

Good evening Mr Haegloev, we have had this brand of cat flap for decades (our cat passed away at the end of the year). We were even able to sell the flap on. But now to your question: It has never happened to us personally, one assumption is the battery. Is one inserted or is it still functional? The information on this can be found in the operating instructions from page 115 onwards. Unexpectedly, your entry brought us back to the days of Solbad Sigeriswil, where our daughter Melanie did her apprenticeship. She now works at the Ochsen Münsingen. We wish you a good start to the week. Kind regards H. Schmid

There are older microchips that are not compatible, details can be found in the manufacturer's instructions. Only the size M door works with the chip, the large version does not. The door connects directly to WLAN, no hub is required. Of course, you should first check whether there is reception at the intended location. The door works with 4 size C batteries. It is possible to connect a mains adapter, but this is not included and must be ordered separately.

Good evening, the Pet-Safe from Staywell fits into the existing opening of the old Pet-Safe flaps. Had the first Staywell flap installed over 25 years ago and upgraded to the latest version with microchip reader a year ago. The installation was no problem, everything fitted perfectly. Regarding the exact dimensions of the opening, the installation instructions can be downloaded from the www. Best regards J. Dähler
