With this HEPA filter, your Meaco dehumidifier also becomes an air purifier. Without additional power consumption, your dehumidifier effectively reduces mold spores, dust mites, and other particles in the indoor air with the installed HEPA filter. This added benefit is particularly advantageous for allergy sufferers, and it also extends the lifespan of the dehumidifier. The air purification effect in the filter occurs in four different ways:

1. Sieving effect: Particles are trapped between the filter fibers due to their size.
2. Inertia effect: Larger particles do not follow the airflow but instead collide with the filter and stick due to their inertia.
3. Interception effect: Smaller particles that follow the airflow around the fiber get trapped when they come too close to the filter fiber.
4. Diffusion effect: Very small particles (< 1 µm) do not follow the airflow but have a trajectory similar to Brownian motion due to their collisions with air molecules, causing them to collide with the filter fibers and stick.
