The tado° Smart Radiator Thermostat - Quattro Pack cannot be operated without a Bridge or a Thread Border Router. Here are the important points to note:

- A tado° Bridge X or another Thread Border Router is required to control the thermostats and connect them to the internet.
- If you want to equip a building with several rooms,每个 room does not necessarily require a separate bridge, unless the distance between the thermostats and the bridge is too great or the signal strength is insufficient. In larger houses, a bridge can serve as a signal amplifier.

It is therefore possible to operate several rooms with one bridge as long as the signal coverage is sufficient. However, if the signal strength is not sufficient in certain areas of the building, it may be necessary to install additional bridges or Thread Border Routers.
