I have the window open to the side, so I also taped the kit around the whole window because otherwise there would be too much air blowing in at the gap of the hinge edge. If you tilt it, it could be that you only need to cover the top 3 edges because there is enough insulation at the bottom, but I don't know.

My window measures ~108x71cm, so the kit is just right because the zipper covers the three open edges. It also comes with enough Velcro strips to cover the entire window.
