2-Way Release
The release lever of a Rapidfire Plus shifter is often referred to as a trigger because it is pulled towards the grip like a gun's trigger. The release lever of the Rapidfire Plus shifters from Shimano Alivio to XTR can be operated in the same way. Additionally, it can also be shifted using thumb pressure.

Rapidfire Plus

Rapidfire Plus is designed for quick shifting, allowing the rider to downshift by up to three gears with a single shift stroke.
