Shimano's entry-level disc brake features a speed sensor and Centerlock attachment, allowing the disc to be securely locked to the hub with a lock ring. This disc is designed exclusively for use with resin (organic) brake pads and is not compatible with metal pads. Disc brakes typically come equipped with organic pads as standard.
