We have only used it on the gas cooker. So I don't know.

I don't think that will do anything to the coating inside. I have used the pan with a petrol cooker and it is fine inside. However, it gets very black and corroded on the outside and is difficult to clean afterwards for such a purpose and you always have soot all over everything because it blackens after cleaning.
I recommend this pan only for gas or electric.
