Assa Abloy ML53PA PIN is an autonomous, battery-operated cabinet lock. The lock is designed for use in dry rooms but can also be used in humid areas when combined with a rubber seal. An additional hole for the upper screw can be retrofitted through the pre-drilled holes. For an enhanced user experience, the lock features acoustic and visual indicators. It can be powered via USB in case the batteries are completely drained. The handle includes a torque overload clutch function.

The lock has three card levels:

• User code (4 digits)
• Caretaker/employee code (6 digits)

Function:
The lock can operate in two different modes:

• Private mode: The lock is unlocked with the same pre-programmed codes.
• Public mode: The lock can be locked with any one-time code. After unlocking, a new user code can be entered.

With quick setup, multiple cards can easily be used in either of the two modes mentioned above. Additional functions can be programmed in or out using standard programming. The lock can be set to unlock based on time, meaning it will automatically unlock after a preset period. After repeated incorrect code entries, the timeout function is activated.
