With the ESC Backup, a reliable and redundant power supply for the receiver can be established using an existing BEC power supply from the speed controller and an additional battery. The ESC Backup has two inputs from the speed controller: one for the PWM output and the other, if available, for telemetry.

The signals are passed through 1:1, while the power-carrying lines are decoupled from the support battery, which is connected at the bottom.

Thus, a failure or even a short circuit in the BEC of the speed controller has no negative impact on the receiver's power supply.

The ESC Backup can handle a current load of up to 20A and is delivered ready for installation with all connectors and wires included.
