Dwarves are typically associated with stout, bearded individuals who love gold, beer, and juggling hammers. They originally hail from the Viking sagas. They were created by the will of the gods from the tiny bones of the dead giant Ymir, while the rest of his skeleton became the building material of the world we know. They are brothers of the mountains and are, in fact, born from the bones of the earth itself. Our dice are made in a similar fashion. We grind the finest Nordic giant bones we have in stock and then melt them down to create a raw material worthy of dwarven craftsmanship. Dwarves are known as the best blacksmiths and jewelers. They also engage in the magic of objects. The greatest treasures and the finest weapons in the entire known world of the North come from their workshops. They were the ones who forged the weapons of the gods, so our dice cannot be ordinary. They must be continually perfected, just as dwarves are always in search of the perfect forms enchanted in metal and stone. This set must be as strong as the bearded folk and as beautiful in its utility as the most perfect product of dwarven craftsmanship. We opted for an elaborate engraving, where the numbers and weapon symbols are more prominently highlighted, and the fine "labyrinth" of lines forms a background. Thus, we have created dice that are worthy of the dwarves and their creations.
