In digital operation, light functions can be switched according to Swiss standards. Since early November 2020, BLS Cargo has been operating freight trains with continuous locomotives all the way to Belgium. This marks the first time the company has deployed the new Vectron locomotives Re 475 cross-border on the north-south axis, from the North Sea to the Mediterranean, and operates the train almost exclusively with companies from the BLS Cargo group. The locomotives are equipped with the country package DACHINLB (for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands).
