The Mini Cooper is the sporty version of the Mini, which was launched in 1959. Designed by Alec Issigonis, this compact car surprised many at the time with its transverse-mounted 4-cylinder inline engine with a bolted-on transmission. Despite its short length of just 3.05 meters, the Mini offered enough space for four people and some luggage thanks to its revolutionary interior design. Throughout its production run from 1959 to 2000, over 5.3 million units of the classic Mini were produced. Solido presents the Mini Cooper Sport in a 1:18 scale made of die-cast zinc. The model features a variety of lovingly crafted details, such as opening doors and functional steering.
