Mulle is a dragon and has only just hatched. Because his egg is now broken, he sets off in search of another home. On the way, he finds a beautiful glittering stone. The crow claims that it is cat's gold and worth nothing, but what does it matter? Mulle gives it to the timid mole, who becomes braver as a result. The mole gives it to the inventive beaver, who in turn gives it to the troll. But they actually wanted to catch him.
