Disappointing response from the vtech service, asking to reset the memories via a hidden parent menu.
The 2nd time it happened to my son we inserted a new 32gb sd, he then took a few photos which enabled him to enter the gallery. After a complete transfer, it worked again without losing any photos.

Hello, same here. If you've found a solution I'm interested. I'm going to try putting in a memory card to see if that unblocks the loading.
