"Skull and Bones" will not be released until 2024

Skull and Bones has been in development since 2013. At the beginning of the year, publisher Ubisoft postponed the title to sometime between 2023 and 2024. Now it's clear: the title is no longer expected in 2023.
Ubisoft has announced in its quarterly report that "Skull and Bones" will be released in the first few months of 2024. Back in January, the publisher moved the planned release date from 9 March 2023 to an unspecified period between 2023 and 2024 /ubisoft-postpones-skull-and-bones-for-the-sixth-time-and-cancels-three-unannounced-games-26131. Even if it's not a postponement in the true sense of the word, it feels like the game has just been postponed for the seventh (!) time.
Officially unveiled in 2017, the game had already been in development for four years. At the end of August this year, "Skull and Bones" was given a closed beta test. There was nothing in this test to suggest another postponement. Ubisoft also failed to provide a reason for the new release date in 2024.
Before "Skull and Bones" comes out in early 2024, the following Ubisoft titles will be released:
"Assassin's Creed Nexus VR" on 16 November 2023
"Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora" on 7 December 2023
"Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown" on 15 January 2023
