The DV120 is ideally suited for digital signage (DOOH - Digital Out-Of-Home) and audio-visual (AV) applications. The ALDV120 uses an uncompressed communication system, allowing each pixel of every frame to be transmitted without loss. It supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz (WUXGA). Video and power (for the receiver at the monitor) are transmitted via a CATx cable. The range of 50 meters depends on the type of CATx cable and the number of transitions (outlets, patch panels, etc.). One should expect a loss of about 5-10 meters per transition. Power is supplied through the USB port of the transmitter. The system features intelligent EDID management, which transmits the exact monitor properties back to the PC.
