This connection is functionally identical to other current screw fittings and differs only in the design of the connection and the nut. This type of connection was largely sold until 2006 and was then replaced by the newer version. Therefore, we offer customers who have a system with this old version of connections the opportunity to continue with the same design when expanding. Since these old connections are more expensive to source and manufacture, we recommend new customers to use the currently common connections.
