The Blackrapid brand brings the popular R-Strap belts in a perfected new version. The new belts are lighter, more functional, more comfortable and more breathable than their predecessors.
The hybrid is the successor of the Yeti. It is the most versatile belt in the new R-Strap series, as it consists of a main belt and a detachable secondary belt for a second camera. The hybrid can therefore be used for either one or two cameras, with both cameras carried over one shoulder. Especially in this context, the large, ergonomically shaped shoulder rest of the hybrid offers an immense advantage. The Hybrid has the largest shoulder support of all R-Strap belts, making it the most comfortable of all R-Straps when used as a single belt. And if you wear the hybrid as a double belt, the large shoulder rest ensures that the weight of the cameras attached to the belt is distributed over its very wide range so that you hardly feel it even after longer wear.
The Brad strap is a special feature of the Hybrid. The strap is attached to the main strap with a metal eyelet and a buckle so that it runs along the upper body below the left shoulder. The belt additionally fixes the main belt to prevent it from slipping. The belt therefore remains firmly in position even when racing, jumping, cycling or climbing.
The shoulder rest has a multi-layered construction. It consists of an air-permeable mesh fabric on the side facing the body, a foam core with air holes and a mesh structure fabric on the upper side. This construction makes the shoulder rest particularly breathable. Possible sweating under the shoulder support is significantly reduced, while any moisture is drained away to the outside.
The main belt of the Hybrid is primarily suitable for medium and large SLR cameras. The side belt is intended for a smaller second camera. Corresponding cameras are for example small DSLR cameras, mirrorless system cameras, bridge cameras or premium compact cameras.
Two FastenR-5 camera adapters are included, which can be used to attach the two straps to the tripod threads of the camera. This works very simply and is very fast. You only need to screw one adapter into the tripod thread of each camera in order to then latch the belt karabiners into the eyelets of the adapters provided for this purpose.
