As we have not yet been able to test the camera extensively due to time constraints, our summary is limited to the image quality for the time being. And this is positive. Although the R5 Il is weaker in the JPEG setting at ISO 3200 and ISO 6400, it is generally better than the R5 at higher sensitivities, albeit without any significant qualitative leaps...
With the SL3, Leica has created a very good full-frame camera that impresses above all with its high resolution. The autofocus still lags behind the competition from Canon, Nikon and Sony; firmware updates could bring improvements here. The best competitor models are also ahead in terms of continuous shooting and some features...

With a price range from 890 to 8000 euros, there should be something to suit almost every budget. High-resolution medium and full-frame cameras offer top performance in terms of image quality. Robust, fast and excellently equipped cameras can also be found in the APS-C and MFT range...

Canon's R5 benefits from a gentler image tuning through RAW first. Fine detail improves especially in structures with high frequencies and low contrasts and more at higher sensitivities. Higher noise levels at ISO 1600 are well controlled so that the images find a good balance. Even with more denoising, RAWs offer advantages over JPEGs from the camera.
