This USB 3.0 cable is used to connect and provide additional power to your USB 3.0 devices, such as external 2.5 or 3.5 HDD enclosures, to your laptop or PC. This means you do not need an extra power supply to operate your device. The large wire cross-sections of the power and data lines ensure a reliable connection between your device and the system.

Note: Operating a 3.5 HDD without an additional power supply is only possible by connecting to an active USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port.
