With the HP Server Console Switches, access to multiple rack servers and their management is possible using just one keyboard, one monitor, and one mouse. The server console switches with 8 and 16 ports are equipped with an OSD (On-Screen Display) interface that features user-friendly menus for accessing all connected computers or all serially connected devices. For easy access, components can be labeled with custom names or sequentially assigned numbers. The switches can be cascaded, allowing the number of accessible servers to increase from eight to up to 256. Switching between computers is done via the keyboard by entering a switch command or by using the mouse to navigate the graphical user interface of the selected computer through the OSD.
