The DX340 comes with two operating systems: Android 13 for maximum flexibility and iBasso's proprietary Linux-based Mango system for the best possible sound quality. With Android, you can install your favorite apps and your chosen streaming service. The Mango system is dedicated solely to playing music from the 256 GB internal storage or from a MicroSD card. Since no Android systems are running in this mode and the CPU and RAM are not burdened, the best possible sound quality is achieved. iBasso not only focuses on sound optimization with the operating system. The DX340 is equipped with two batteries to prevent interference between the digital and analog circuits. The battery life is approximately 11 hours, making it sufficient for longer music sessions. The DX340 with the AMP15 amplifier card offers a SuperGain mode when connected to the 12V power supply. In this mode, the amplifier's power supply is increased from 8V (in pure battery operation) to 12V. The power output from the amplifier is sufficient even for very demanding headphones, reaching over 2W at 32 ohms. Headphones can be connected symmetrically with a 4.4 mm jack and unsymmetrically with a 3.5 mm jack. For those who want to transport the digital signal from the DX340 to a DAC, the USB-C output or the COAX S/PDIF output on the underside of the device can be used. All of this makes the DX340 versatile—not only as a portable player but also as a streaming device in an existing HiFi setup. The 6-inch AMOLED display is easily readable even in bright environments and offers excellent contrast. In Android mode, the operation corresponds to the familiar Android environment, making it easy to use. The Google Play Store is already pre-installed for additional app installations.
