Product details

With this adapter cable from accessory specialist InLine, it is possible to connect an internal USB 2.0 port (for example, from the I/O panel of the case) to a USB 3.0 header on a compatible motherboard.

The approximately 15 cm long cable features a male USB 2.0 8-pin connector on one side (as found on motherboards), while the other side has a female USB 3.0 19-pin connector that connects to the motherboard.

In this way, the USB 3.0 port of the motherboard can be used as a USB 2.0 port for a case or card readers, thereby only achieving the transfer speed of the older USB standard.
