Blood Bowl 3 is fantasy football as a video game: a turn-based strategy game set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, inspired by American football, where elves, humans, orcs, and other beings battle for the ball using shoulder tackles, kicks, punches, and weapons of varying degrees of lethality (and legality, according to the referee). As a coach, players give instructions to their team: the goal is to prevent opponents from advancing through skilled tackling, take down those who stand in the way, and ultimately break through to reach the opponent's end zone for a touchdown. Players' units gain experience and receive stat bonuses or cool skills. But beware: injuries are common, especially when the referee is a goblin who overlooks most forms of violence. Some players may leave the field limping or even lifeless, leading to an early and irrevocable end to their careers. Blood Bowl 3 is a faithful adaptation of the Games Workshop board game, with its release scheduled for this year. The game will utilize the rules, teams (including the Black Orcs and the Imperial Nobility), units, and associated skills from this edition. The best strategists clearly have the advantage. However, an unfortunate roll of the dice can change the course of a match. Funnier, bloodier, and more spectacular than ever, Blood Bowl 3 is suitable for fans of the universe and competitive players alike. At launch, the game will feature twelve races, each with its own arena and team of cheerleaders, as well as campaigns, multiplayer modes, and plenty of options.
