The NiSi 82mm Natural Night Filter is a new addition to the NiSi series and our first exclusive filter for night photography. There are many unwanted light wavelengths from mercury vapor, sodium, and low-CRI streetlights that pollute the night sky. The glow from these sources can prevent your camera from capturing the sky accurately and affects your night images. For this reason, NiSi has developed the Natural Night Filter to block the most common wavelengths of light pollution. Like the rest of the NiSi line, this filter is made from high-quality, precision-annealed optical glass. Its surface is finely ground and polished to ensure sharpness for today’s ultra-high megapixel cameras.

The NiSi Natural Night Filter features NiSi's unique NANO coating technology. This multi-layer coating reduces reflections on the surface of the filter to avoid ghosting and flare. It also includes a protective layer that allows water, dust, and oil to be easily wiped off the filter without scratching the glass. The NANO coating process achieves this without any loss of sharpness.
