Modules labeled ECC have error correction. Non-ECC memory modules cannot be mixed with ECC memory. If a memory upgrade is to be made with the existing RAM, it must be checked which memory technology (non-ECC / ECC) is present. The device supports non-ECC SO-DIMM or ECC SO-DIMM. Memory modules with the ECC designation have error correction (Error-Correction-Code). To use the 24GB and 48GB memory modules, you must have the correct Intel revision.
