Note when selecting memory modules: QNAP uses SO-DIMM RAM without ECC functionality in its NAS system. However, the built-in AMD Ryzen V1500B CPU also supports memory modules with ECC functionality. RAM with ECC (Error-Correcting Code) cannot be used together with memory modules without ECC functionality. When purchasing memory modules with ECC functionality, the memory modules installed by QNAP must be removed. For a dual-DIMM configuration, two identical SO-DIMM DDR4 modules must always be used.
