It is a 12 volt battery. I run two with one car battery. The original battery is a 7Ah battery, my car battery is a big Maserati starter battery with 175Ah. Sound without end.

How long do you expect the battery to last? Fully charged at a moderate volume, mine plays for a good week with 3-4 hours of play per day. However, it's only in the basement because I don't need it any more.
