Hello, this accessory does not work for me either, I only have a bad black and white image. I have never been able to transfer a video film to digital. Good luck

I think there is a misunderstanding. This product is for recording audio/video.
You are looking for a USB sound card like this one:
Antlion USB-Soundkarte (USB)
To connect your headphones, you probably need a cable like this:
Goobay 3.5mm Klinke - Cinch Kabel (3 m, Oberklasse, Cinch, 3.5mm Klinke (AUX))
or:
Lindy Cinch Buchse - Klinke (0.25 m, Einstiegsklasse, 3.5mm Klinke (AUX), Cinch)
I can't say for sure, but if you have the correct output from your player (Chinch/RCA or S VIDEO) it should work. I assume it is the cable connection and not the source media
The product is not complicated at all! Plug it in, make a few settings on the computer and everything works perfectly. The videos I recorded with it were transferred perfectly.
I would highly recommend the product to anyone who needs it!

According to our research, this product is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10. Unfortunately, it does not work under Mac OS. It is not necessary to purchase any software.
Hello Marco,
I can't give you the exact solution, but I noticed that it doesn't work the same way everywhere.
On my PC with Windows 7, the part was recognised, but I couldn't install it. On my laptop with Windows 10, it worked straight away. In my opinion, however, the part is not worth its price. The quality is so poor that filming from the TV is even better :-( I will now have my videos scanned externally.
My Logilink video grabber works well, although it was much cheaper than a device bought elsewhere. I used it to digitise Video8 tapes. These are PAL. With the previous device I had constant problems with A/V synchronisation. This was due to the bandwidth used. With the Logilink I no longer have these problems, but I had to accept that the device delivers 640x480 pixels for the 4:3 format, i.e. not exactly the PAL 625 lines. The "pixels" of the original VHS signal are not the same height as they are width (analogue TV screen). I assume that if I don't accept 640x480 pixels, there are small transmission problems. But the quality is sufficient for me.
If you watch the videos with e.g. VLC, you can correct the synchronisation.
I would be interested in your further experiences.
Hello,
Yes, it works with any analogue source as long as you can connect it. I bought it to digitize Hi8 tapes! The software supplied with it is not too bad, it captures in MPG but if you want to digitise directly in MKV or MP4 (for example) I strongly advise you to have a look at OBS (obsproject.com). It's free, open-source and works great!
So for my part, the device was natively recognized by Windows. Win10 on a Core-i7, SSD disks, GeForce GTX1060 (for hardware encoding with OBS) = nickel digitization of Hi8 tapes played on my old Sony camera via the S-Video output)
The only remark, despite the presence of left-right cinch connectors, it seems that the sound capture is only in mono. But it's not a big deal...
Yesterday I received the USB2.0 video grabber and tried it out on various PCs (Windows 10) (in conjunction with my Canon Legria FS306 camera).
I wanted to use the video grabber mainly for Skype calls (audio and video).
Of the 5 PCs I tested, Video Grabber worked in 3 without any problems (audio and video), the remaining 2 only gave an audio signal in Skype and no video signal.
These 2 PCs that only showed an audio signal have an APU on the mainboard (Ryzen 3 2200G & Ryzen 5 3400G), so no graphic card.
The first 3 PCs on which Video Grabber worked properly have CPUs (Ryzen 7 3700X and 2x Intel Core i7) without onboard graphics, but with Graphic Cards in the PCI-E slots.
The question is, could it be due to the APUs that no video signal was received and, what could be done so that the video signal is also received (installing a GPU is not an option)?
Thank you very much in advance.
I use the Grabber with Windows 10 and am actually satisfied (grabbing via ffmpeg and then via avisynth/ffmpeg improvements and final encoding). However, I can't get the grabber to set to PAL (720x576x25fps). I get maximum NTSC resolution. Has anyone already managed this? So to grab directly in PAL and not to upscale afterwards.
My FFMPEG only shows me the following formats:
vcodec=mjpeg min s=640x480 fps=10 max s=640x480 fps=50
vcodec=mjpeg min s=640x480 fps=10 max s=640x480 fps=50
vcodec=mjpeg min s=480x320 fps=30 max s=480x320 fps=30
vcodec=mjpeg min s=480x320 fps=30 max s=480x320 fps=30
vcodec=mjpeg min s=720x480 fps=10 max s=720x480 fps=50
vcodec=mjpeg min s=720x480 fps=10 max s=720x480 fps=50
pixel_format=yuyv422 min s=480x320 fps=30 max s=480x320 fps=30
pixel_format=yuyv422 min s=480x320 fps=30 max s=480x320 fps=30
Thanks
The unit does provide me with picture and sound, but with the picture mostly horizontal stripes (as when rewinding) and with the sound a very strong noise (even if the video recorder is not playing the S-VHS-C at the moment, but is set to pause or stop). When playing back on the TV, everything goes without a hitch.
The latest drivers are installed, I have already tried to replace component and video with S-video without success.

I have already tried the original software, Debut and VLC for recording, all to no avail...
Could it be the USB? It's backwards compatible, but I only have USB 3 here...
Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks a lot in advance.
