Is it normal that my mouse (logitech pebble) does not work properly on this pad? My mouse doesn't always respond and it always jumps around, do you know what I mean? On other surfaces the mouse works fine.

Try cleaning the sensor. Laser optics work very reliably on all mats. From the 'jumping' I would rather conclude that there are mouse or driver/SW problems. Therefore also update the driver
