The speaker is only a loudspeaker as an "extension" of the mobile phone. So if you have a radio app, you can listen to the radio with it.
Mine is combined in a group with a Chromecast Audio. So any speaker that you can add to Google Home should work.
The app would work well - if the boxes didn't lose contact with the wifi from time to time.
If you can connect it via audio cable / cinch, it should actually work. However, I have only tested Bluetooth and there is a delay in the sound.

The Action Multiroom can be connected and used with Apple Airplay. Otherwise, you can also connect via Bluetooth.
Basically, you only need Bluetooth for a connection. Where the signal (song) comes from is irrelevant to the speaker.
