The difference between the OmniPoint and the QX2 switches from SteelSeries lies inSeveral key aspects:
## Actuation Point and Customisability
- OmniPoint Switches: These switches are extremely customisable, with an adjustable actuation point from 0.2mm to 3.8mm. This allows for customisation for each user, which is especially useful for gamers who prefer specific settings for their games.
- QX2 Switches: These switches are more traditional mechanical switches with fixed trigger points. They are available in linear, tactile and clicky versions, but are not as customisable as the OmniPoint switches. The trigger point is approximately 2 mm.
## Response time and speed
- OmniPoint switches: These switches have a response time of around 0.54 ms and are very fast and reliable thanks to their magnetic sensors. They also offer the option of configuring two different actions for the same keystroke.
- QX2 switches: These switches have a response time of around 6 ms, which is significantly slower than the OmniPoint switches. However, they are still suitable for gaming, but offer less customisation options and speed.
## Durability
- OmniPoint Switches: These switches are designed for 100 million clicks and are characterised by their durability and resistance to wear and tear.
- QX2 Switches: These switches are designed for 50 million clicks, which is less durable than the OmniPoint switches.
## For gaming
- If you're looking for the best switches for gaming, the OmniPoint switches are more worthwhile. They offer higher speed, better customisability and longer durability, making them ideal for competitive gamers.
- However, the QX2 switches are still a good choice if you prefer more traditional mechanical switches and are less reliant on extreme customisability and top speed.
The Apex Pro Mini (with the product ID 64822) from SteelSeries comes equipped with the OmniPoint 2.0 Adjustable HyperMagnetic Switches.
The trigger travel of this keyboard is adjustable with the SteelSeries Engine app. You can adjust the actuation point per key in 40 different settings (from 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm).
Good morning, actually the cables are the same, you have to take German because that is the language for the settings. I thought it was me cable too, but no.
Unfortunately, we can never guarantee a delivery time. There can always be a problem at the warehouse or with the carrier/deliverer. And we are sorry about that. If you have any complaints, you can contact customer service directly, the community is not for that => https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc...
Our suppliers currently only list the wireless version. As soon as/if possible, we will gladly include the wired version as well. There is currently no information on how soon this might happen.
The thing is, no cable is not the same as no cable. If you use the keyboard with the supplied USB-C dongle, there is no delay, with a transmission time of 1ms, but 8ms via Bluetooth.
Optionally, you can use the supplied USB charging cable as a connection cable.
As the picture is only a placeholder, the DE layout is supplied. This is usually the case here on Digitec/Galaxus, just stick to the description/specifications.
