Yes, the heart rate belt is compatible with Coros watches because it uses Bluetooth and Coros watches support Bluetooth heart rate sensors. Make sure that your Coros model accepts Bluetooth accessories as described in the Coros documentation.

There are no known incompatibilities between the Smart heart rate belt and the Suunto Race watch. This belt is compatible with Suunto watches with Bluetooth Smart, including the Suunto Race, Race 2, Race S, Run, Vertical, Ocean, 9 Peak Pro, 9 Peak and 5 Peak. If the belt does not pair with your Suunto Race even though it works with the Connect A7 belt, it is advisable to check the pairing procedure, the distance between the devices (at least 10 m from other Bluetooth sensors), and make sure that the watch is up to date. The Smart belt uses a Bluetooth connection and can be paired with several devices, but only one connection is active at a time. In short, the Smart belt is compatible with the Suunto Race, so the problem is probably due to a detail in the pairing or configuration, and not a hardware incompatibility.

The Suunto Smart heart rate belt is compatible with Bluetooth Smart (Bluetooth Low Energy), which basically enables a connection to many Bluetooth-enabled devices, including smartphones and smartwatches. However, no explicit compatibility with Samsung Health or the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 is mentioned in the available information. Samsung Health supports a selection of activity trackers and sensors from various manufacturers, but the Suunto Smart heart rate belt is not included in the official list of compatible accessories. The Galaxy Watch 8 can connect Bluetooth heart rate belts, but it is not guaranteed that all Bluetooth heart rate belts will work without special support or app compatibility. To summarise: - The heart rate belt uses Bluetooth Smart and is compatible with Suunto watches and apps. - Official compatibility with Samsung Health or the Galaxy Watch 8 is not documented. - A connection may be technically possible, but is not guaranteed or officially supported. For a binding statement, we recommend contacting Samsung or Suunto directly or searching for the device in the Samsung Health app under Accessories.

On the Suunto site it says the following (comes as a recommended accessory under the Rache watch): The Suunto Smart heart rate strap has an R-R memory that is used when the watch is not in Bluetooth Smart radio range. This is great for team sports, for example, as it allows recordings to be made without wearing the watch. The memory function is supported by all watches with Bluetooth Smart, except Suunto Run, Suunto 7 and Suunto Kailash. Have the Race but only use the strap with the Garmin device on the bike.

Hello, I also had trouble with the measurement. It almost drove me to white heat, including the battery changes you described. However, at some point I realised that it was the belt that was causing the problem and not the sensor. I have now been travelling with the new strap and the old sensor for about a year without any problems. Incidentally, I also had a Suunto 9 and now a Vertical. Unfortunately, I don't know of an alternative to the Suunto sensor, but try a new strap and then wash it carefully by hand after training.

Quote from Suunto support website: "The strap can be connected to multiple sports watches and apps.... For mobile devices and smart watches, we recommend using the free Sports Tracker app... which supports the use of a heart rate strap." So there must be a way to connect directly to the" Sports tracker" app(differentiated from sports watches) on a mobile device(differentiated from smart watches)...? Too bad no one else came up with the idea before...🤔

Hey hey, The strap only works in addition to the watch. It doesn't have a chip or anything and doesn't record anything on its own, but simply sends the heart rate to the watch.

It's like this. I still need a second strap in M. So if you like, I can buy the new strap in M that you get with the sensor.

The only difference I know is that the Smart Sensor has not been available for months and the heart rate belt is available overnight! Unfortunately, that's all I can help you with...
