No special software is required to use the basic functions of the D2-320. However, TerraMaster offers the TPC Backupper software, which enables automatic backups and is very user-friendly. In the event of a failure in a RAID 1 setup, the new hard drive is not automatically mirrored. Instead, you must manually install the new hard drive and reconfigure the RAID. However, the TPC Backupper software supports synchronising and backing up data, which can be helpful to protect data.

There are none, but the D2-320 is compatible with various hard drives, such as 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA hard drives and 2.5-inch SATA SSDs.
