Misleading but still good
Isn’t actually from LG, the actual product does not have the LG logo. Made by HL data (an LG subsidiary). Uses two usb 2.0 connectors (second one is to provide enough power to run the drive).
It can however burn archive grade 100 gb discs which is not the case with other drives as cheap as this one.
Slow, noisy, but inexpensive and works well to occasionally archive data and read blu ray discs which is the main reason I bought this drive.Pro

reliable compact blu ray drive
My use for this drive is to extract the files from DVD's and Blu-rays and move them to cloud storage. The speed is very good and the performance is solid.

I like the drive so far. A third of my CD collection is already done and: so far, so good.
Since modern PC housings are not designed for internal disc drives, the extra space on the console seems to me to be a painless compromise.Pro
