@swissbull just look at battery performance and give a rating. iphone user?
the cpu is new and much more power efficient. In addition, this device does not run "the" graphics chip and also the display does not have to be extremely illuminated as with FHD display. and if you read gsmarena correctly, then they speak of a battery performance that is not worse than others.
Above all, i think it's great how you can already give a clear rating for a mobile phone that's not yet available.
...but the new iphone 6 is the best, even though it's not yet clear what's inside or what it looks like... go back to sleep

@fancollo
I can only support this!
I had it in my hands at the IFA in Berlin. It absolutely convinced me!
Unfortunately, I can't rate the battery. In "Endurance" tests, it is the same as an iPhone 5s.
As far as I know, the iPhone 5s also lasts a day and I don't need more :)
You can't tell me that you don't have a power socket at home...! And I also need my sleep every day, during which I can't use the device either way.
I'm going to get it, because it made a VERY valuable impression in the hands-on at the IFA.
The display is also indistinguishable from a Nexus 5 or even a Samsung Galaxy S5. I think it's even a little better in terms of illumination and brightness.
Well, I don't think the price is very high either - see iPhone 6 with starting price at (probably 899Fr for the BASIC version WITHOUT 4G and W-Lan AC).

I bought it for my boyfriend and he is very satisfied, the resolution is just perfect and as an Apple fan I am considering switching to Samsung just because of this model. They have made it so that I will probably switch soon :-)
Thanks
A very nice and well-made smartphone from Samsung. It has worked flawlessly so far, is super fast, takes great pictures and feels good in the hand.
The battery doesn't last that long but you get used to it and it lasts me a good day if you deactivate a few apps.

Very good device in and of itself. With 32 GB of internal memory, it's fully adequate. It is a pity that the battery, even in energy-saving mode, barely lasts a day without being connected to the charging socket.
Otherwise, the price and performance are right. I would buy it again anytime.

All in all, a really great device for those who can do without some high-tech features.
+ Design
+ Workmanship
+ Speed
+ Loudspeaker
+ Call quality
+ Camera quite okey
+ Fingerprint works amazingly well
+ / - Battery (surprisingly good but by no means a battery miracle)
- Optional QI charging kit (Makes the device bulky and heavier - Had it on for just a full day until I decided to remove it ;)
- NO SD slot (Not Samsung style)
- NANO Sim
- Display with Pentile-Matrix (visible at 720p)
- Samsung Software Touch(Joke) - For me an absolute NO GO, unfortunately no CustomROMs available yet.
Fast delivery, friendly service in the St. Gallen shop.

Super mobile phone. Slim and light, that's how it should be. The screen illuminates everything cleanly and the colours are very neutral. The Touchwiz interface is kept relatively slim which I like very much, was always a contra otherwise with the Samsung devices. Battery I make on average 30h without energy saving mode, is nothing special but also not bad!

Compared to my previous S3 mini, this is a real rocket. Overall, the workmanship is much better and more solid. The screen and camera are in a class of their own. The blue looks absolutely exclusive. The price/performance ratio is absolutely convincing!

Well. Eig. A good device... however, I would have hoped for something more from the new Samsung "flagship"....
Compared to the Galaxy S3, for example, the battery capacity is lower, the screen minimally smaller, the torch less bright and the speaker quieter.
But it comes with a heart rate monitor... but who really needs that? People who need this function should buy a more suitable and precise device...
The non-expandable memory does not bother me, but it is one more point where savings have been made.
The smartphone feels good in the hand and looks good, but savings have been made in all areas. Too bad...

Unfortunately the device has a stain on the screen that is visible when the background is clear...
Even with very little use, mainly in standby mode, the battery does not last all day.
Samsung fan, this time I'm disappointed.

I bought it for my son. For a good 300.00 he gets a mobile phone that can do not much less than the things for just under 1000.00.
The price/performance ratio is perfect.

I have had the device for a long time and am still very satisfied. 1A workmanship. Lies well in the hand. The inch size of the screen is actually perfect. Unfortunately no expandable memory, but not really necessary at 32GB + with the cloud offer nowadays. Device is fast. The camera unfortunately has problems with macro shots

At the beginning, the battery performance was still okay, but after about 6 months it decreased drastically and only lasts for half a day.

This phone is a great fit for me. Not too big, but still with all the advantages of its bigger brother (S5). Operation is great, everything works quickly and reliably. The camera is also very good. The only disadvantage for me is that there is no option for an SD card. But after two months of use, that hasn't really limited my usage options at all. The battery easily lasts a whole day and I always charge my phone overnight anyway. Thanks to the beautiful blue colour (which is really pleasing to the eye), the phone doesn't get "lost" as often as it used to with a black phone.

Top equipment. The display resolution is completely sufficient for me when it is so cheap. SD slot not needed with 32GB

Price/performance is unbeatable.
The device can do everything a good mobile phone has to do and this makes it solid. The workmanship is on par with Apple but costs 30%. Edges,4k and magic are not worth paying more than 700.-- for a device. But everyone has to know and pay for it themselves.
I can recommend it, it doesn't have a catch like some other China products.

Normally I write more, but with this mobile phone one can only say: TOP !!!!
And at Fr. 299.-- there's only one thing to do: BUY !!!!
Unfortunately, the battery is down again almost too quickly ...

As a switch from the Samsung S2 (GT-I9200), the Samsung Alpha is simply great.
And for me, it is the best alternative (price/performance) to the S5 or A5.
Although for the price (CHF 329.00), you can already buy a decent tablet. Only for making phone calls they are less practical;-))
