The compact CS381 storage case can be placed both vertically and horizontally, making it suitable for any location. It features eight hot-swappable drive bays for 2.5"/3.5" drives located directly behind the front panel. A customized backplane is used, supporting both SATA and SAS interfaces, ensuring high compatibility with modern hard drives and SSDs. To protect data from unauthorized access, the front panel can be secured with a Kensington lock. In addition to the eight drive bays at the front, there are four additional 2.5-inch mounting spots inside the case, which is designed for Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and Mini-DTX motherboards. The SST-CS381 also includes four expansion slots that allow for the installation of expansion cards with a maximum length of 267 mm. For power supply, SFX or SFX-L power supplies can be installed. For efficient cooling, two durable 120mm fans pre-installed at the rear of the case operate at 1,300 RPM with only 28 dB(A). The left side panel of the Silverstone SST-CS381 provides additional mounting options for two 120mm or three 80mm fans. Optionally, the rear of the case can also accommodate a 120mm or 140mm radiator for water cooling. The mesh front of the Silverstone SST-CS381 acts as a dust filter, protecting the case from dirt and debris.
