PCI-Express FireWire card adapter with 3 ports. The StarTech 3-Port PCI Express FireWire adapter card can be installed in a PCI Express slot by adding two IEEE1394b ports and one IEEE1394a port. It allows for broad compatibility with a variety of FireWire devices, such as DV camcorders, external hard drives, and digital cameras. Two 9-pin FireWire 800 ports provide transfer rates of up to 800 Mbps, while a 6-pin FireWire 400 port supports transfer rates of up to 400 Mbps. The adapter features a native PCI Express chipset, without a bridge chip. A mounting bracket for low-profile and half-height installation is included. The internal power connector ensures power supply for high-performance FireWire devices.
