The Alphacool fan shroud optimises the airflow between the fan and the radiator fins to increase cooling performance. In addition, it decouples the fans, which leads to a significant reduction in noise. Optimisation of the air flow When the fan is mounted directly on the radiator, a dead spot is created below the fan hub. Even at the corners of the radiator that are not directly covered by the fan blades, there is only a slight air movement through the cooling fins. By fitting the fan shroud, the distance between the fan blades and the radiator is increased. This allows an air cushion to build up in this intermediate area. The dead area below the fan hub is eliminated and the corners of the radiator are better flushed with cooling air. Particularly with Silent fans at low speed, the cooling performance can be noticeably increased. Decoupling and reduction of noise The soft fan shrouds decouple the fans from the radiator frame as far as possible. As a result, hardly any vibrations are transmitted and the noise level is reduced. The greater distance between the fans and the radiator fins also ensures less direct air turbulence at the edges of the fans and radiator fins. This also contributes to a reduced background noise. The Alphacool fan shroud optimizes airflow between the fan and the radiator's cooling fins to enhance cooling performance. Additionally, it decouples the fans, resulting in a significant reduction in noise levels.
Airflow Optimization: When the fan is directly mounted on the radiator, a dead spot forms beneath the fan hub. There is also minimal air movement through the cooling fins at the corners of the radiator that are not directly covered by the fan blades. By installing the fan shroud, the distance between the fan blades and the radiator is increased. This allows an air cushion to build up in this gap. The dead area beneath the fan hub is eliminated, and the corners of the radiator receive better airflow. This is particularly beneficial for silent fans operating at low speeds, as it noticeably improves cooling performance.
