The e Macbooks Air should be able to be connected to the display with a Thunderbolt-to-Displayport cable or a Thunderbolt-to-HDMI cable.

thanks community for the answers - I have ordered and already received the ASUS ProArt PA279CV display, works perfectly thanks to the new mac os / sequioa
can even charge a laptop and works as a docking station for various external HD's via usb-c.
top display - recommendable at this price
i had read about connection problems on the internet and was therefore sceptical - but all this referred to an old operating system (big sur)
