Can all the unnecessary bloatware be completely uninstalled? In my case, all the Samsung junk, Facebook, Instagram, etc.?

Unfortunately, not all apps that are not needed can be uninstalled, which is a pity. The overview would be better with few apps and automatisms that start the apps automatically. This is especially tedious when the device is paired with the car.
Otherwise, the device is good and perfectly fine.

Mr Meier - It is a Samsung Galaxy - so Samsung as well as Google have no interest in letting the device run in "beggar's mode". Some things can be uninstalled, others can only be reset and thus "paralysed". In your case, a Chinese product would surely be the better choice. You can do whatever you want with it. Samsung constantly tries to send updates and corrections. Every now and then, new apps are installed that can be uninstalled again.

I don't have Facebook, Instagram, etc., that can all be uninstalled.... But what you mean by Samsung rubbish, I'm not sure. I still have the Samsung Galaxy apps etc. on it, but I don't use them....
