If your laptop has Bluetooth, you can connect it to that. Otherwise, you need a jack to jack cable to go from your laptop to the box.
PS: The Panther version is smaller than the other UE BOOM 2 models. That's why it's cheaper than the Orange etc.
I was very surprised myself when it arrived.
