The record player has an integrated and switchable phono preamplifier and offers RCA outputs that are suitable for connection to active speakers. This means you can connect it directly to two active speakers without the need for an additional amplifier or stereo system. Passive speakers, on the other hand, require an amplifier as they do not have their own built-in amplifier.

It is important that the speakers are active (i.e. with a built-in amplifier). If you only have passive speakers, you cannot connect them directly, but need an amplifier in between. For two active speakers, simply connect the RCA outputs of the turntable to the inputs of the speakers. A splitter is not normally necessary as the record player has stereo RCA outputs for left and right.
